The Internet and all digital technology is now an essential part of our lives, providing many positive experiences for families and teachers, and it is being used at an ever-younger age.
Cybersafety is an extraordinarily important pre-requisite for making the most of the opportunities offered by the Internet, so it is absolutely important to become aware of and master the techniques and tools to ensure safe navigation, avoiding information theft and identity, from external attacks or malware intrusion. Without our involvement (parents and teachers), children are left to self regulate in a world that is not moderated.
The goal of cyber security training is to educate users about the potential risks they face when surfing the Internet, using communication tools such as social media, downloading applications, using e-mail, online games, and accessing potentially dangerous sites.
In short, the main objective of the course is to help participants understand clearly the importance of online safety, learning to recognize potential threats and impacts as well as adopting good browsing practices, defend against cyber attacks, respond to emergencies.
